Pop artist Sef, birth name Yousef Gnaoui, started his musical career within the hip hop formation ‘Flinke Namen’ who scored hits within the Benelux and successfully toured venues and festivals following their album release. Quite soon during and after this first musical project it became evident that Sef was multi-talented and couldn’t sit still, he broke out with numerous hit singles as a featuring artist and developed as a true homo-universalis, or renaissance man, within media and different art forms. Sometimes a spokesperson for minorities in the Netherlands, as his father is from Moroccan descent. Next to recording artist Sef has designed all record sleeves for his releases himself as well as directing his own videos. These works were noticed by fellow artists and he now does graphic design, art-direction and directs music videos for other successful recording artists.
