The Kik is a Dutch music group notable for paying homage to the 1960s beat music with Dutch Lyrics (also called Nederbeat). This most popular beat band of the Netherlands comes out of Rotterdam, Tilburg, and Veenendaal and was founded in 2011. The band consists of Dave von Raven, Marcel Groenewegen, Arjan Spies, Ries Doms and Paul Zoontjes. Their music is mostly inspired by the merseybeatbands from the sixties like The Beatles and The Kinks. Also the instruments pay homage to that era; vox amps, drums from Ludwig and guitars from (among others) Rickenbacker.
